We are looking for a passionate and motivated Senior Software Engineer to take on this critical role as we continue to add novel statistical features our KerusCloud platform and supporting eco-system.

Key duties

  1. Develop novel software applications to aid the design of complex clinical research studies.
    • Maintain and expand current knowledge of relevant techniques and industry standards
    • Develop and implement new capabilities, including IT, tools, standards and processes
    • Assure quality of work to fulfil project goals and objectives according to timelines
    • Work with stakeholders to obtain feedback and incorporate into current software
  2. Be an integral part of the product development team and work closely with other colleagues.
    • Contribute to and follow agile development processes
    • Communicate project goals, status and progress to peers and the management team
    • Ensure coding standards through peer code review
    • Provide SysOps/DevOps support as required
    • Contribute to the development of others and provide support as necessary
    • Shares knowledge and experience in own specialism to help others
  3. Support continuous improvement through professional development, including increasing personal capability through knowledge-transfer from the Software Architect.
  4. Support business development activities through the promotion of Exploristics’ products and services to external audiences at conferences, and other marketing related activities.
  5. Contribute to recruitment processes as required.


The essentials:

  • Proven track record in software development using Typescript and Angular8+ or other equivalent languages/frameworks.
  • Recent experience of the following:-
    • Source control using Git and agile development methodologies i.e. Scrum
    • Working with SQL Databases, and serverless technologies, preferably AWS (e.g. Lambda, Cognito, S3, DynamoDB)
    • Design and maintenance of APIs
  • Understanding of JavaScript testing frameworks.
  • Proven ability to work under general direction within a clear framework of accountability.
  • Experience of contributing to the work of cross-functional teams to ensure that customer and user needs are met.
  • The ability to communicate fluently, and can present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences when engaging with colleagues, users/customers, suppliers and partners.
  • Ability to drive own development and contribute to the development of others.


The following are desirable:

  • Degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Computers Science/Software Engineering – BSc. Or MSc.).
  • Background in statistical analysis, modelling or simulation.
  • Experience in clinical trials or medical research.
